Science Day!
What an exciting day!
Today we all dressed up as scientists in reception as part of our very exciting science week. We met a scientist called Jane who talked to us about animals and the food chain. She explained that plants grow, herbivores eat them (the rabbit) then the carnivores eat the herbivores ( the lion).
Jane also talked to us about our own bodies! We learned that when we eat our food it all goes into our stomachs where our body does something so amazing! It takes all the goodness out of the food for our blood and then the waste food travels through our bodies before finally, reaching the toilet!
In class we made our own special slime! We used cornflour and water to make a slime that was able to move like a liquid as we could pour it, but to the touch was as solid as a rock! How amazing
Have a look at us getting messy with food, squeezing a pretend stomach, making our own blood using sweeties and making our amazing slime!
What a super day!
